Support

CoHiro is a shared shopping list and household inventory for iOS and Android.

Two ways to reach us

From inside the app: Account → Send feedback. Best for ideas, problems, and anything about how the app behaves, because it tells us which version you are running.

By email: support@cohiro.app. Use this for account questions, or if you cannot open the app. English or German.

What to send

The in-app form covers three kinds of message, and all three are welcome:

The form sends the text you write, the app version, and whether you are on iOS or Android. It does not send your list, your inventory, or any device identifier.

A switch controls whether we may reply using your account email address. It is off by default. If it is off, the message arrives with no contact address attached.

Common questions

Joining a household

A household is shared by invitation. A member opens Household → Invite and sends you a link, a QR code, or a code to type. Any of the three adds you to the same list and inventory. You can belong to more than one household and switch between them.

An invite code is not accepted

Invite codes expire 72 hours after they are created. Ask the person who invited you to open Household → Invite and create a new one. Sharing the link or QR code avoids transcription errors.

Notifications are not arriving

Check two things. First, that notifications are enabled for CoHiro in your device settings. Second, that the time falls outside your quiet hours, under Account → Quiet hours. Quiet hours are set per person, so yours may differ from other members of your household.

Signing in, and resetting a password

You can sign in with an email address and password, or with Apple or Google. If you signed up with Apple or Google, use the same button again rather than setting a password.

To reset a password, choose Forgot password on the sign-in screen. A code is emailed to you, and you enter it in the app to set a new one. If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check the spam folder before requesting another.

My name appears as part of my email address

If no name was entered at sign-up, the part of the email address before the @ sign is used instead, and other household members see it. Set a name under Account. It updates everywhere, including in notifications.

A member left, but their items are still in the household

This is intended. Items belong to the household, not to the member who added them, so they remain when someone leaves. Any member can delete them.

Deleting your account

Account deletion is available in the app under Account, and is also described at cohiro.app/delete-account. No request to us is required.

Requirements

CoHiro runs on iOS and Android and needs an internet connection, because the list and inventory are shared between members in real time.

Privacy

What CoHiro collects, why, and how long it is kept is set out in the privacy policy.
